Lebanon Cinema Days in Canada 2025 will unfold from October 1 to 5, 2025, with a resplendent Opening Gala at Montréal’s Théâtre Rialto and a distinguished parallel program in Ottawa, transforming both cities into luminous stages for Lebanon’s cultural pride.The evening will be graced by the incomparable Guest of Honor Carmen Lebbos, followed by aheartfelt tribute to the immortal genius Ziad Rahbani, whose voice and music continue to echoacross generations. Alongside them, Carlos Azar, Badih Abou Chacra, and Michel Hourany will join as Special Guests,carrying the artistry and charisma of Lebanon’s screen and stage. The celebration will bemasterfully guided by the eloquent Karen Boustany, whose words weave elegance withemotion, and crowned with a celestial performance by Michel Fadel and Lara Rain incollaboration with JPAL Productions, where music will rise like a prayer and cinema will breathelike poetry. Beyond the Opening Night, the festival will present a rich and beautiful program of Lebanesefeature films and short films premiering for the first time in Canada, offering audiencesunforgettable encounters with the creativity, resilience, and storytelling power of Lebanon’sfilmmakers. In addition, a distinguished jury will preside over the competitions, culminating inthe presentation of the Lebanon Cinema Days Awards, honoring the voices shaping cinematicfuture. More than a festival, this edition is a constellation of art, memory, and belonging: a luminousbridge between Lebanon and its diaspora in Canada, orchestrated with vision and grandeur bythe Beirut Film Society.
